Jinagiri Teerth is a beautiful three-pinnacled temple built during the period of Chola dynasty. The deity is the black-colored (original stone color) idol of Bhagvan Parshwanath in the Khadgasana posture. There is also another idol of Bhagvan Chandraprabh Swami in the temple.

There are many caves where saints had stayed to make penance. Inscriptions from the 9th to the 16th century are also found here. Every year a fair is held from the tenth to the fifteenth day of the bright half of the month of Vaisakha.

The Periyanayagi Madha shrine is a famous Roman Catholic Church in Konankuppam, Tamil Nadu constructed by Fr.Constanzo Beschi also called as Veeramamunivar. There is a life size statue of Fr. Beschi in the front of the church.
